has a segment this whole week on Heart Health. Today focused on women and symptoms of Heart Attack and the fact that Drs misdiagnose many women.

Symptoms of Heart Attack for Women

-Chest Pain
-Shoulder Pain
-Jaw Pain (I had)
-Teeth Pain
-Shortness of Breath (I had)
-Nausea
-Fatigue ( I had)

More women die of heart attacks each year then men. One in Two women die of heart attack every year compared to one in 27 women with breast cancer. Breast cancer is still important to look out for. But more women pay attention to the symptoms for breast cancer then heart problems.
They also said that women tend to igonore their symptoms when it comes to heart health.

That is very scary to me. Luckily I was aware of symptoms of heart attack in women. I myself thought I was going through a panic attack. I am glad that I knew the symptoms though. That got me to Dr right away!

the same on the scale this week. Last week I wasn’t feeling very well and didn’t work out as much. Then Saturday and Sunday we ate out.
At least I did not gain anything.

Joe is going to pick up some groceries this afternoon. We are focusing on fish and veggies this week. Oh and also buying alot of veggies and fruit to snack on. This way we can open the fridge and just grab a healthy snack.

This is where Joe and I ate after we saw Capote. VERY GOOD!
It was a early weekend Joe’s Birthday Celebration. After dinner we drove back to Athens and had cake at The Grit. Joe had a chocolate cake with a buttercream icing and I had the chocolate silk pie.

This was his Birthday Cake. I was thinking of either making a cake or buying one on his Brithday, but we both decided that we didn’t want a cake in the house. It would be TOO tempting. We also decided we would let ourselves eat what we wanted this weekend and really pump up the workouts and eat healthy all this week.

Joe and I saw Capote today. Amazing movie! Phillip Seymour Hoffman definitely deserves an Oscar for his part of Truman Capote.

We highly recomment this movie!

People tell me I have an old soul because I still send handwritten cards and letters.

At times I wish I would receive as much as I send.

I have an old soul, but am living in a new age. I love all of the new gadgets of today, but also would have loved to live in victorian times.

Are there people out there that still enjoy writing or receiving handwritten letters from friends?

I know I do!

This week I think it was a full moon. There were so many customers complaining about their eyewear. Ugh!

Last night I came home and had some wine. Now the wine that I had was a small one or 2 serving tiny bottle that my sister Eve left over a year ago. We had some New Years Eve after my heart attack. Joe came home from picking up something to eat and saw me drinking it and said. “Well I know it must have been a rough day!”

As I was drinking the wine I wondered “Hope this wine is still ok.” That didn’t keep me from drinking though. Hee hee!

All in all this week wasn’t that great as far as exercise is concerned. Wasn’t feeling well. But I did watch what I ate. One day I watched myself pig out…. if pigging out on soy crisps and honey nut cheerios is pigging out.

Going to get to the gym tomorrow and back on track. I am not going to let this week get me down though.

That being said I am glad it the weekend. Going to take Joe to The Grit on Saturday to Celebrate his Birthday early. They have the best chocolate cake. It is called Vegan Chocolate Death Cake. And it is the best cake we have ever had. Even non vegan.
We are going out so that I don’t make a cake and have it around the house.

Going to get some reading in too.
