Interviews, interviews and more interviews….

i went to another interview last night. i was in a big dilema. the one drs office called me and i think that he was offering me the job. i haven’t called him back yet.
here is my dilema…. the drs office that i interviewed with is doing extensive interviews. they are interviewing and they are having a consultant interview as well. i am waiting to have an interview with the consultant.
so last night my stomach was tied in knots trying to decide what to do. joe told me to decline dr meschers offer and wait to hear from dr beasley.
it is like the show deal or no deal. if i don’t take the job with dr mescher i may not get the job with dr beasley and then i am out of job options. and i still haven’t heard from lenscrafters.
and dr meschers office would be much better than working at lenscrafters.
so basically we came up with this…. decided to call wendy the office manager and ask her if i was the running for the job. and it would be ok if i wasn’t and they liked other people better. i just needed to know if i had a chance because if i didn’t then i was going to take the other offer. she said that she and dri beasley were very impressed and yes i was in the running. i was at the top of their list.
so now i have to interview with the consultant. i have no clue what type of tests that he will have me take. but the dr said that they just want to make sure that they have the right fit for their office because one bad apple couple spoil it.
i understand that.
and i don’t want to start with dr mescher and then leave him if i get this offer. so…. it is a chance that i am willing to take.
joe said that if things don’t work out with dr beasley then he will have more projects for me to work on from him and jason.
so i am taking a chance…. but the chance may pay off. and who knows…. dr mescher might say that if things don’t work out to call him.
it is just going to take 2 weeks for dr beasley to make a final decision. they are opening a 3,000 square foot office at the end of september. and i would help them pick out all of the frames!
oh and they would have Lafont! My favorite french line of eyewear! they have super cute kids line too!
i am bad… i haven’t called dr mescher back. and he was offering me what i wanted. it is just going to really kill me if i turn down his offer (which i am going to) and wait for dr beasley to make up her mind. and if she decides that i am not a good fit. well then i don’t have a job at all.
but then i have to keep reminding myself that i was looking for a job so that i could get out of the house and see people. i don’t have to have a job. i am still running the teleclass business. it is just VERY SLOW right now.
and i have to admit that i would like the money. when i was working for dr springer i loved socking alot of money away.
i am hoping that the risk will pay off and i will work with dr beasley. it is something totally different. she specializes in vision therapy for children.
i would be running the optical department and i would help answer phones and schedule appointments. she will have 4 vision therapists working with her as well as the office manager and the receptionist and the optician. i am not quite sure, but i think that
i think that my experience with working with lafont and the higher line optical with help. most of the people that see dr beasley are by referal and they all have money.
what i really like is that i will be able to buy more lafont glasses! yippee!
wendy was very cool about it too, and it was nice to hear that i am at the top of their list.
if i don’t get the job i may just ask them to keep me in mind in case anything opens up. even reception work.
what was really cool was in their vision therapy room they had a no whining sign. it said whining with a big circle and a cross through it. i thought that was pretty cool.
wendy is from pennsylvania. and it so happens that dr beasley did her residency in pennsylvania. the dr was kidding around and said “i don’t know about having too many yankees working for me.” hee hee! then she said say y’all, now all yall. it was funny.
they are both professional and laid back at the same time. sort of dry sense of humor…
but very cool and i am willing to go through these different interviews just for the chance. and if they don’t decide to hire me i hope that they will remember me in case there are any openings.
it is late and my i am not capitalizing anything….
i had to get all my thoughts down though, because it was driving me crazy!!!!!!!!!!
