Today is my buddy Julianna Birthday!  She lives in Athens with her life partner Rachel.

She is one of the most talented artists that I know.  And a wonderful musician as well!

She is tons of fun to be around!  When we get together we laugh and laugh!

Today is my Dads Birthday!

When I was younger I used to call him Daddy. I thought about putting Happy Birthday Daddy …. but it felt too strange!

I am sure he is working today. I am going to have to call him to wish him a Happy Day!

Still miss Mom. It is hard to believe in 3 years she will have been gone for 20 years.

Luckily there are pictures and memories.

Today I am putting my summer things away and bringing out the fall clothes.  I love fall!  It is my favorite season!

I do have a dilema….

When I was working in Athens for Dr. Springers office I wore scrubs.  So I gave away most of my work clothes.  Now that I will be starting at Dr .Beasleys office in October I do not have many things that I can wear.

Since finding out that I got the job I have been able to go out and buy a few things with the money that I was making going into Dr. Beasleys to pick out frames with the frame reps and with the money from the teleclass business.  However it does not seem like enough.  Granted I am a gal that likes to have a ton of options!  And I love dressing for work.  Funky and classic styles.

I do have some things that I can put together with some older things.  But once I get paid I am going to be shopping for some work clothes.

Today my cousin Missy had her 3rd child.  Katarina!  The are going to call her Kit Kat for short!  She has 2 siblings.  Autumn Rose (Autie) and Max Autie turned 2 in May and Max will be one in November.
She is precious!    Missy has had 3 babies within the last 3 years.  Bless her heart!  She is one fantastic mom!

I remember being little and we used to talk about family and having kids.  She has always wanted a big family.  She and Scott are well on their way!

Wendy the manager of my new office emailed me.  It may be another 3 weeks before the office opens.  There was a snag with construction.

I am hoping that if they are opening later then it will be after the weekend of the 7th of October.  That way Joe and I can leave early for my cousins wedding.

I am not going to be starting my new job for another week.  There were snags with the contractors and now things have been pushed back a week.  I spoke with Rick the consultant today and he informed me of the delay.

I thought that I would go into work and learn the new computer system…. but that is going to be a no.  Apparently Dr. Beasley shares a system with Dr. Carpenter.  So I will not be learning anything until we open the new location.

I am most likely going to be checking frames in and pricing things next week. They are hoping we will open the first week of October.

I really hope that it isn’t delayed a few more weeks. I am anxious to get out of the house during the day.  Not to mention having extra money for savings!

Here’s hoping that things go well this week so I can go in a couple days next week!

Went to visit the Taylor family in Clermont Florida last week. We left Wednesday and came back last night. It was a realxing visit. We didn’t do much. What was nice is that Joe had a couple of days where he didn’t work. That never happens. Especially with owning your own business.

It was nice to hang out with his family for a few days. Even nicer to see Joe alot more relaxed!

It seems like never ending travel for Joe and I. We are on the road again today to visit the in laws. They live in Florida. It is going to be a little bit more of a drive than it was to Lake Helen.

Calvin is joining us for the ride. He will get to play with their dogs Molly and Abby. It is the first visit back to see them since Zoe died. Joe was just back from college when they brought Zoe home.
It is going to be a couple of relaxing days. We are probably just going to hang at their house for the most part. We may go to Disney since they get in for free.

It will definitely be good for Joe. He has been SO HECTIC with work. He needs some time to wind down.

It will be nice to spend time with them.

Let me start by saying I LOVE HATS!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have been wearing them for almost 20 years. All types. I have quite the collection. It is hard for me to part with them. They hold so many memories for me.

One paticular memory is of the hat I wore in New York City on my Birthday. (keeping that one) Or the one that I wore on the last day on my trip to Macon. I was visiting my friends Allena and Nicole. This is back when we still lived in Pennsylvania. (giving that one away)

I was trying on the hats that I thought to give away. I narrowed it down to 20. Yes I said 20 hats. I said that I had a collection didn’t I?

I am also giving away 3 hat boxes.

Trying to organize and simplify my life. It is a good feeling.

I wonder if any of the women that are going to be wearing my hats will wonder about the history.
