Adventures at the DMV

Yesterday I went to the DMV. I wanted to get there at 8 am when it opened, but it didn’t happen. I didn’t end up arriving till 10:30.
While I was walking towards the entrance I though “It shouldn’t be that long of a wait. It’s Wednesday morning. It would probably be more crowded in the afternoon.”
WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I opened the door to the outside of the building to see that there was a line out the door of the dmv. Everyone was waiting in the hallway.
I didn’t mind because I knew it would give me more time to look at the book.
I waited, and waited and yes still waited. Forty five minutes later I get into the DMV.
I show the woman my forms of ID and then she gives me a number. I wait some more.
Finally my number is called. The computerized voice calls out 350. I sit down and the gentleman my info and I take the eye test. As well as the eye test i have to name the 12 signs were there.
After I have to wait for a computer so that I can take the test.
Yes boys and girls it was taking the permit test all over again. All new North Carolina residents are required to take it. I took the test and did very well. I only had 1 wrong.
It is a good thing that I had the book and I read it the night before. They had some questions about the North Carolina Laws that I would not have known.
My license turned out really well. The only complaint is that they really give you an EXTREME close up on the license. I am definitely ALL FACE!
So even though I had to wait for about 2 hours, it was worth it. I finally have my North Carolina license.
